The Seventh International Conference on Genetic Algorithms

July 19-23, 1997
Michigan State University
East Lansing, Michigan

The conference is over!

The conference occurred as planned on July 19-23 at MSU. Please read the postscript for a little on how it went.

The Seventh International Conference on Genetic Algorithms (ICGA-97) will be held on July 19-23, 1997, at the Kellogg Center, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI. This meeting will bring together an international community from academia, government and industry interested in the field of Evolutionary Computation, i.e., algorithms gleaned from models of natural evolution. Examples of such algorithms are:

and similar paradigms as used in evolving e.g., Artificial Life, Cellular Automata, Computational Ecosystems, Cultural Algorithms, Fuzzy Systems, Immune Networks, Machine Learning, Multiagent Systems, Neural Networks, Simulated Annealing and others.

ICGA-97 will include pre-conference tutorials, invited speakers, and workshops.

The conference host for 1997 will be Michigan State University located in East Lansing, Michigan. The conference will begin Saturday afternoon, July 19th, for those who plan on attending the tutorials. A reception is planned for Saturday evening.
