CEC99 Author Instructions

Congratulations on the acceptance of your paper to CEC99. Below are the steps you need to complete to guarantee your paper is included in the CEC99 proceedings. The dates listed are very important. Missing one of the dates below may result in your paper being dropped from the conference. Please read what follows carefully and mark the important dates on your calendar:

Step 1) Fine Tune - After you receive your paper's acceptance notification and the reviewers comments, please look over each reviewer's comments and incorporate their suggestions into your paper as much as possible. Our reviewers are interested in helping you to create the best paper possible for the proceedings. Please give each of their comments your serious consideration.

Step 2) Format - The paper format for the proceedings can be found at the CEC home page . There you will find an example paper in the conference format stored as PostScript, Word 97, and LaTeX files. Each paper is required to be in this format for publication in the proceedings. Any paper that deviates significantly from this format may be excluded by the editors. Remember, you may only have 8 pages for your paper.

Step 3) Spell Check - Once you feel your paper is ready to send, please take a moment and do a final spell check prior to printing it out. Often the editing and formatting process introduces errors into the text that go unnoticed until read in the proceedings. Taking a few minutes now will ensure your paper is as good as possible.

Step 4) Camera Ready - Once you have fine tuned and formatted your paper, print out 2 original copies on the best printer to which you have access. Laser printers of at least 300 DPI are preferred. If you must use an ink jet, please use paper specifically coated to prevent ink bleed so the characters and figures are as clear and sharp as possible.

Step 5) Final Submission - Send two original copies of your camera ready paper and a completed IEEE Copyright Form no later than April 12, 1999 to the following address:

CEC99 Proceedings
C/O Natural Selection Inc.
Suite 200
3333 North Torrey Pines Court
La Jolla, CA 92037 USA
(619)455-6449

Step 6) Registration - In order for your paper to appear in the proceedings, one author must register for the conference before April 16, 1999. Conference Registration Forms are available online at the CEC home page . Please print this form out, fill in your information, and either fax or mail your completed form to the conference offices as listed on the form. A registration form may be faxed only if you are paying by credit card. If an author appears on more than one accepted paper then their registration will cover all papers on which they appear as an author.

If you have any questions about what appears above, please contact the conference email ( CEC99@natural-selection.com) immediately so we can clarify or fix the issue. Thanks for your participation and cooperation.

See you in July!
